Foghorn Co. was gifted a complete branded identity by the vivid, charming, witty Rick Valicenti, National Smithsonian Design Award recipient and dear ambassador of all Foghorn endeavors.

We settled on the name Foghorn after waking up one morning for the first time on a remote island in Maine. It was early and the sound of the foghorn was deep and grounding. It provided safe harbor, adventure for what lies just beyond the horizon. Our company is about doing exactly that for all our projects, our people, and our future.

That bone marrow sound of the coastal foghorns in Northern Maine was at the core of Rick's design, playing with sound waves and the architecture of foghorn stations. The mark bounces around on the architecture, the audio / visual byproduct, a booming geolocating, mediative, I am here visual for all animals.
