Identity, Packaging

For Fusilier’s Ambush, Foghorn crafted a typographic language that mirrors the album’s shifting emotional terrain—tense, intimate, and quietly explosive. The Ambush wordmark was drawn by hand, its letterforms unraveling like overgrown flora—beautiful, wild, and a little dangerous. In contrast, the Fusilier band logo appears partially redacted across the vinyl package, a nod to the album’s central tension: visibility versus erasure, safety versus spectacle. Inspired by themes of surveillance, vulnerability, and identity under pressure, the packaging embraces contradiction—combining fragility with defiance, ornament with censorship. Across print and vinyl, the design becomes a landscape of traps and tenderness, a visual ambush to match the sonic one.
